The design seems simple but there's quite alot going on at the same time. Alot of the things in the background such as the dolphin, rubber duck, and number 42 don't really make sense until you watch the movie. The characters are posing in a way that gives off their personality, especially the robot who doesn't seem to be amused. Two of the characters are kind of leaning on the robot as well, which sort of foreshadows how important the robot became to the characters later in the movie. They are all standing on what appears to be a chunk of rock with text that says "Don't Panic", which i thought was funny.

In this presentation, Director J.J. Abrams talks about the intrigue of mystery. Abrams explains that there is mystery in different aspects of something that draws people to them. Abrams not only talks about peoples love for mystery, but also there interpretation of those mysteries. I agree with Abrams that it is easier now to create effects with improved technology and software or just by being creative.

In the interview, Dave Perillo, aka Montygog talks about his start and influence as an artist. Much of my start and influence as an artist came from watching cartoons as well, so i can relate to that. I agree that art doesn't have to be serious. I agree that it's important to have your own style. I also agree that a million Garfields is too much. The interview was insightful.
